Katie Matson, Senior Closer
Katie grew up in Arkansas with a deep love of reading, service to her community and all things outdoors. She moved to the Tampa Bay area over 12 years ago, graduated from St Petersburg’s Osceola High School and began her title insurance career at the age of 24. A licensed title insurance agent capable of handling everything from REO’s to ReFi’s, her favorite aspect of title insurance is being able to provide excellent customer service to all of our clients and the ability to make the process seamless and engaging for all involved. In her free time, Katie enjoys traveling, photography and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Complete with 8 years experience in foreclosure law, and now a processor, Breeanne attends to the details of opening files and seeing them through to closing. Originally from Marine City, Michigan, Breeanne moved to St. Petersburg at age 13, and now calls the ‘Burg area, home. She attended Rivera Middle School and graduated from Northeast High School where she was very active in sporting activities. She continued on to St. Petersburg College and then to the Cortiva Institute where she obtained her massage therapy license. Prior to joining the Title Security team, Breeanne spent the past 8 years, as a legal assistant in foreclosure law, specializing in client systems. In her free time, Breeanne enjoys cooking, family time, gardening and sports.
Sue Johnson, CFO/Administrator
Capable of wearing many hats while quietly accomplishing a multitude of tasks, Sue has overseen the financial aspects of Title Security and Anderson Ventures for over 20 years. Additionally, she manages all human resource activities, i.e. employee benefits, insurance and taxes. Sue hails from New York and attended Centenary College in neighboring New Jersey. Now, for the past 30 years, she calls Florida home. Sue, a licensed Florida real estate agent, enjoys spin as well as other classes at the YMCA. DIY projects are her passion as well as summer vacations on Long Island.
Harvey A. Ford, Esq.
A product of the Pinellas County public schools, Harvey is one of the owners and current President of Title Security. He’s a 4th generation resident of St. Petersburg and a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Stetson Law School.
His law practice is primarily real estate and commerce related, hence the natural interest in title insurance. He maintains a full-time separate law practice with the firm of Ford & Ford, PA, located nearby and is regularly available when the need arises for Title Security closings.
He is a long time active member and former President of his Kiwanis Club, current Board Member and Commodore of the St Petersburg Yacht Club, a member of the Suncoasters, board member of the Waterfront Parks Foundation and past Chairman of the Board for the St Petersburg YMCA. Harvey, his wife and two adult children enjoy fishing and sailboat racing in their spare time.
Steve Anderson grew up in Sarasota and moved to St. Petersburg in 1973 after graduating from Principia College. At that time he and his brother started in the car wash business together. Steve also became a real estate broker. Over the years he, his brother and various partners developed, brokered, constructed, owned and managed residential properties, retail centers, warehouses, office buildings and car washes. Ownership in a title company has been a natural fit.
Steve’s community involvement has included serving as President of the Police Athletic League, Breakfast Optimist Club and the Maximo Elementary PTA. He is a past Chairman of The St. Petersburg YMCA, Leadership St. Pete, and his Church Board of Directors. He was also involved in coaching youth sports.
Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and their merged family that includes nine children. His favorite hobbies include boating, biking, golfing and either watching or attending sporting events.
A licensed Florida real estate broker, Steve has been selling and marketing real estate for over 35 years, from spearheading condo development on Miami’s South Beach and Clearwater’s Sand Key, to serving as VP of Sales and Marketing for JMC Communities and President of JMC Realty, Inc.
Steve served as a director for national (NAHB), state (FHBA) and local (TBBA – past president) Builders Associations. He was a trustee of NAHB’s Sales and Marketing Council and its Institute of Residential Marketing, and past chair of FHBA’s Sales and Marketing Council. Steve has been awarded the FHBA’s prestigious John P. Hall Award for Sales and Marketing Excellence, and Marketing Director of the Year by the NAHB.
Steve and his wife love to travel and spend time at their Lake Michigan home in Traverse City.
